I am very excited to continue my 2nd year in Prosper ISD as an Eagle. This will be my 18th year in Education! I am honored that I was part of the team that opened Jim and Betty Hughes in 2016 . I came from Dallas ISD where I was an Elementary School Counselor. I received my Master's in School Counseling from Dallas Baptist University. Before becoming a school counselor, I was a Deaf Education Teacher for 15 years. I have a Master's in Education/Deaf Education from University of Southern California.
My family and I have lived in Frisco for 12 years. My husband, John and I have been married for 21 years. We have two handsome teenage boys, Chandler is 19. Chandler is a sophomore at the Art Institute of Hollywood, California. His major is set design - designing movie, commercial and theater sets. Colby is 15 years old and is a Sophomore at Frisco Independence High School. His passion is football, wrestling and being a Life Guard. We enjoy watching our boys excel in their academics. We love watching Chandler explore California and Colby playing in his sports.
I believe that all students should have the opportunity to learn how to become respectful citizens within their community. I love working with Hughes students in Student Council and Safety Patrol! I look forward to seeing and meeting all of our new Hughes families!
Please let me know how I can serve you and your family.
HUGHES HAS HEART!!
