    Posted by:

The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is one of the nation's premier organizations established to recognize outstanding middle school students. More than just an honor roll, NJHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character and Citizenship. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since their beginnings in 1929.

  • What day, time, and location does the club meet?

The members meet once a month. One monthly meeting will be scheduled for before school and one for after school (members must attend only one of the two meetings). Meetings are typically scheduled for the second Wednesday of every month. Notifications will be posted in the NJHS Google Classroom page.  Students who are unable to attend the required meeting will need to provide a note from parent or doctor and schedule a make-up meeting with Ms. Ortegon or Mrs. Robinson.

Membership in the National Junior Honor Society is open to seventh and eighth-grade students who have been at Reynolds Middle School for at least one full semester, have attained a cumulative average of at least 94.00% (in core classes) and have not been in ISS or OSS.

Students who are eligible for membership will receive an invitation and a membership application in the month of February. Please review the membership responsibilities and by-laws carefully. For further consideration of membership, students will need to complete the membership application and return it to Ms. Ortegon or Mrs. Robinson.
