Prosper ISD is excited to provide the Community News Folder which will help publicizes activities for local groups and organizations. This forum will allow groups to post information on programs, fundraisers, classes and other activities.

The information below has been submitted to and approved by the Communications Department. It will be updated on a regular basis. Check back often for the latest opportunities and information from our community.

Non-profit groups will be allowed to post information at no cost. For-profit groups we will be asked for a donation to the Prosper Education Foundation in exchange for the opportunity to place information on the website.

    Dancing with Dominic

    April 1, 2017

    Dancing with Dominic is a family-friendly fundraising event that includes a silent auction, dinner, dancing, kids' activities, and much much more. The goal is to raise awareness about Hunter Syndrome and raise funds for research. Come support and dance with Dominic on April 1st. Pre-sale tickets are $25 per adult or $45 per family. Children 12 years old and under are FREE with an adult ticket purchase.

    Lone Star Leadership Academy

    Academic Leadership Summer Camps for Outstanding 4th-8th graders

    Education in Action
    ­

    Summer 2017 Application Deadline - MAY 13, 2017

    Outstanding students from across Texas meet in Dallas/Fort Worth, Austin/San Antonio, or Houston/Galveston for a week of fun, learning, leadership development, and visits to unique and historically significant Texas destinations. Each day students explore notable Texas sites, learn about unique careers from professionals at sites visited, and develop their leadership abilities during leadership groups with their facilitators. All adult facilitators, one for every ten students, are Texas teachers. In addition to improving their leadership abilities, participants gain self-confidence and independence and develop new friendships with other high-achieving students from across the state.     Find Yourself at Stanford this Summer!

    Stanford Pre-Collegiate Studies selects the finest students from around the world to come to Stanford for an amazing summer experience.

    Our programs offer highly motivated, intellectually curious students the opportunity to investigate topics not typically taught in high school. Students engage in small classes with instructors who are experts in their fields and passionate about teaching. Past students have frequently described their experience on the Stanford campus as life-changing.

    Explore our offerings:

    Sports Business Academy
    Our newest program gives high school students an overview of careers in the sports and entertainment industries, with a focus on management, law, negotiation, marketing, and leadership.

    Artificial Intelligence Laboratory’s Outreach Summer Program
    Current 9th grade girls learn about Artificial Intelligence through a combination of lectures, hands-on research projects, field trips, and mentoring activities during this two-week residential program.

    Summer Arts Institute
    A three-week program offers interdisciplinary courses in photography, product design, music, and architecture and essential connections between the arts and other areas of study, including cognitive science, psychology, and engineering.

    Summer Humanities Institute
    Rising juniors and seniors explore the big questions at the heart of the humanities in seminars led by distinguished Stanford professors.

    Stanford University Mathematics Camp (SUMaC)
    Welcomes an elite group of talented rising high school juniors and seniors from around the world to Stanford for intensive study in advanced mathematics through lectures, guided research, and group problem solving.

    Summer Institutes
    Intensive, single-subject courses with instructors and peers who share their talents, passions, and interests. Coursework is tightly integrated with the social experience in academically themed residences and are customized to give students deep exposure and hands-on experience.
