I am honored to serve as the principal of Windsong Ranch Elementary. I am looking forward to meeting all of our students and getting to know their families. My goal will be to foster a positive educational environment for each and every student, staff member, as well as the community. By challenging and encouraging students, they will not only succeed but be prepared for and embrace a lifetime of learning.

Born into a long line of teachers, education is in my blood. I grew up in a small town in South Dakota. There, I met my high school sweetheart (and now, wife), Kim and obtained my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education at Dakota Wesleyan University. From there, we moved to Texas. I began teaching 5th Grade Math & Science. After years in the classroom, I decided to pursue my Masters in Education and graduated from Lamar University in December 2011. For the last four years I have had the opportunity to be the assistant principal at Sparks Elementary.

We have 2 boys, Mitchell and Grant, that keep us busy with a flurry of activities. When I’m not driving them to or attending one of their events, I enjoy family time, watching football (the Huskers on Saturday and the Steelers on Sunday), and working out.

I am completely honored to have the opportunity to serve as the assistant principal of Windsong Elementary. I began teaching in 2003 and since then have taught 3rd, 4th, and 8th grade. For the past year and a half, I have been a curriculum designer for Prosper ISD designing math curriculum for grades K-2.

I began teaching in PISD in 2009 and moved here the very next year so that we could be a part of this wonderful community. My husband, Todd, and I will be celebrating our 20th anniversary this year. We have two children. Our daughter, Janessa, attends Prosper High School and our son, Wyatt, attends Reynolds Middle School.

In our spare time, we enjoy spending time with our family in Oklahoma, watching movies, camping, hunting, and fishing.
