I am honored to serve as the principal of Windsong Ranch Elementary. This will be my second year in PISD. I am looking forward to seeing all of our returning students and meeting our new students and their families. My goal will be to foster a positive educational environment for each and every student, staff member, as well as the community. By challenging and encouraging students, they will not only succeed but be prepared for and embrace a lifetime of learning.

Born into a long line of teachers, education is in my blood. I grew up in a small town in South Dakota. There, I met my high school sweetheart Kim (and now, wife of 22 years), and obtained my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education at Dakota Wesleyan University. From there, we moved to Texas. I began teaching 5th Grade Math & Science. After years in the classroom, I decided to pursue my Masters in Education and graduated from Lamar University. I had the opportunity to be an assistant principal for four years at Sparks Elementary and jumped at the opportunity to serve as a principal in PISD.

We have 2 boys, Mitchell and Grant, that keep us busy with a flurry of activities. When I’m not driving them to or attending one of their events, I enjoy family time, watching football (the Huskers on Saturday and the Steelers on Sunday), working out and being outdoors.

I am completely honored to have the opportunity to serve as the assistant principal of Windsong Ranch Elementary. I am excited to see all our returning families and meet those who are new to us this year.

I began my teaching career in 2003 and since then have taught 3rd, 4th, and 8th grade. In 2009, I became part of the Prosper ISD family and moved here the very next year so that my family and I could be a part of this wonderful community.

My husband, Todd, and I celebrated our 21st anniversary this year. We have two children. Our daughter, Janessa, attends Prosper High School and our son, Wyatt, attends Reynolds Middle School. In our spare time, we enjoy spending time with each other, watching movies, camping, hunting, and fishing.
