Mr. Garry Gorman

I'm honored and excited to serve as the Principal at Baker Elementary. This will be my fifth year with Prosper ISD. My career in education began in August 1996, after I graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. I began my career in school administration in May of 2003, after receiving my Masters of Education from Texas Woman’s University.

I’m happily married to the love of my life, Nikki Gorman, a pharmacist. We have two children, Kaleb (will be a Freshman at Wake Forest University this upcoming school year) and Karsyn (will be a Freshman in HS this upcoming school year). I am truly blessed by a wonderful and supportive family. When I have some free time, I enjoy running, triathlons, music, and reading.

Baker Eagles are the very best kids in Texas. Being their principal is a great honor. Every employee here at Baker feels honored to work with Baker students. One of our goals is that everyone who walks onto our campus feels welcomed and will experience the outstanding “Baker Customer Care”! We partner with parents to provide the best education for every Baker student.

It is a wonderful feeling to be a part of the Baker Elementary family! As I enter my ninth year in education I am blessed to find myself with the opportunity to serve the students and community at Baker.  Having grown up in a small town and being a proud member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of ’02, I find myself drawn to small town pride and school spirit, which is why I chose to make the move to Prosper ISD last year.

I am married to a fellow educator and high school basketball coach, Scott Patterson.  We have two beautiful and sassy daughters.  Ruby Claire is five and started Kindergarten this year. Our baby, Kate, was just born in March and is full of smiles. My favorite pastime activity includes going to the rare movie with my hubby, reading young adult novels, eating tacos (as many as I eat – it’s truly a hobby) and having dance parties in the living room with my daughters.

I cannot express the excitement I have felt as this school year has begun. I have been fully energized in getting to know the amazing staff here at Baker and seeing how much they truly love what they do. Now, as students and families have once again entered our building, I am filled with so much joy to meet each and every one of you; your high fives and hugs have warmed my heart.

I want to thank the Baker community for being so warm and welcoming. I truly love being here and I am honored to serve you – Baker Elementary, the BEST school in Prosper!
