I am very excited to continue my 3rd year in Prosper ISD as an Eagle. This will be my 19th year in Education! I am honored that I was part of the team that opened Jim and Betty Hughes in 2016. I came from Dallas ISD where I was an Elementary School Counselor. I received my Master's in School Counseling from Dallas Baptist University. Before becoming a school counselor, I was a Deaf Education Teacher for 15 years. I have a Master's in Education/Deaf Education from the University of Southern California.
My family and I have lived in Frisco for 12 years. My husband, John and I have been married for 22 years. We have two handsome boys, Chandler and Colby. Chandler is 20 years old and is a Sophomore at Collin County Community College working on his Associates degree to pursue his Teaching degree in Theater. Colby is 16 years old and is a Junior at Frisco Independence High School. His passion is playing Varsity Football and enjoys being a Lifeguard. We LOVE watching our boys excel in their academics. We also have 2 dogs, Leo is a Shih Tzu and Henry is a Bull Pei.
I believe that all students should have the opportunity to learn how to become respectful citizens within their community. I love working with Student Council on becoming the leaders within our school! I look forward to seeing all of our returning students/families and meeting all of our new ones!
Please let me know how I can serve you and your family!
HUGHES HAS HEART!!!
