Welcome to Kindergarten!
I am so excited to remain a part of the Stuber family this year. It is an amazing campus full of amazing people, and I know you will love it too!
Although I was hired as a Para-Professional to help in Kindergarten last February, this will actually be my 17th year of teaching. I graduated from Culver-Stockton College in 1992 with a BS in Elementary Education and received my MED in Education with a Reading Specialist Certificate in 2006 from West Chester University. Prior to teaching in Prosper my teaching experiences were in NJ, PA, and finally, the great state of Texas. I have worked for McKinney ISD, Frisco ISD, and now Prosper ISD since moving to Texas in 2006. I have taught first, second, and third grades as well as fourth grade ELAR, but this will be my first full year working with Kindergarten and I am so excited to be a member of this amazing team.
Family is my first love and I live in Little Elm with my husband of nearly 25 years-Lou, and my soon to be 12 year old daughter Nora, who will be attending Rushing Middle School-GO RAPTORS! Additionally, I have two canine fur babies Jersey a Goldendoodle and Sophie, an 11 pound Havanese who rules our roost. Jersey is super smart and knows how to steal bananas from the fruit basket and open my husband's sock drawer. Sophie is quite adept at stealing the socks from Jersey and can carry several around in her little mouth while barking.
When I am not working, I love spending time with my family swimming, playing games, hanging out, and watching movies. When I have time to myself, I love crafting- card making in particular, reading, and watching my daughter play volleyball.
Being with children has always made my heart happy and I learn from my students every single day. I am so looking forward the all of the new adventures the year ahead holds!
