PISD - ESSER Funds

      • Prosper ISD submitted an application to the Texas Education Agency and was awarded Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER lll) funds under the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act of 2021.  The total amount allocated is $495,447.  The intent and purpose of the funding is to sustain the safe operation of schools and address student learning needs as a result of the impact of COVID-19 pandemic.  

        In addition to the ESSER lll allocation, Prosper ISD submitted an application to the Texas Education Agency and was awarded ESSER Supplemental (ESSER-SUPP) funds.  ESSER Supplemental funds are also a result of the ARP Act.  Prosper ISD received $7,094,128 for 2021-2022 and  $7,094,128 for 2022-2023.  The intent and purpose of the funding is to sustain the safe operation of schools and address student learning needs as a result of the impact of COVID-19 pandemic.  

        In accordance with requirements, the development of the plan was made with required stakeholders.  Public Notice was posted on the PISD website on May 26, 2021 and a survey was sent to all required stakeholders on May 27,2021.

        The district reviewed the survey data and feedback. This information was used to develop the plan to address the needs of the students. Prosper ISD, in consultation with stakeholders identified priority needs.  These areas identified are Student Learning Needs, including Social Emotional support and Health and Safety Enhancements.  The district will periodically review and revise its plan as needed, at least every six months.

        Prosper ISD’s Safe Return to Instruction and Continuity of Services Plan will be reviewed and revised as needed, at least every six months, until September 30, 2023.  This process will include stakeholder input provided by district leadership, stakeholder surveys, and our ESSER Committee.  Your input will be considered during the reviews of the plan.

      Communication Plan

        • The District made its plan public on the Prosper ISD website.

        • The District has created its plan in an understandable and uniform format.

        • The District’s plan is, to the extent practicable, written in a language that parents can understand, or if not practicable, orally translated.

        • The District will, upon request by a parent who is an individual with a disability, provide the plan in an alternative format accessible to that parent.

        • The District will periodically review and revise its plan as needed, at least every six months.

      Meaningful Consultation

      • Prosper ISD will continue to seek stakeholder input through meaningful consultation in reviewing and revising, as needed, the ESSER III Safe Return to In-Person and Continuity of Services Plan at least every six months.  This process will include input from the District ESSER Committee, District Leadership Team, Stakeholder Surveys, Student Council members, and the Superintendent Student Advisory Council. Input will be considered during the periodic reviews of the plan.
