π National Bullying Prevention Month
October is National Bullying Prevention Month!
At Sam Johnson Elementary, we believe every student deserves to feel safe, respected, included, and valued. This month, we are encouraging our students to stand up for kindness and help create a school community where everyone belongs.
Small acts of kindness can make a big difference. Encourage your child to:
π Include others and make everyone feel welcome.
π Use kind and respectful words.
π Stand up for someone who may need a friend.
π Speak up and tell a trusted adult if they see or experience bullying.
π Be a positive role model for others.
Together, we can make a difference by choosing kindness, compassion, and respectβnot just in October, but every day.
Let's make Sam Johnson Elementary a place where everyone feels like they belong! π
π Breast Cancer Awareness Month
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. π
This month, we join communities across the country in raising awareness about breast cancer and honoring those whose lives have been touched by this disease.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an opportunity to learn, support, remember, and spread hope. We are grateful for the strength of survivors, remember those we have lost, and stand alongside families and loved ones affected by breast cancer.
At Sam Johnson Elementary, we encourage our students and families to help spread kindness, compassion, hope, and support throughout our community.
Together, we can make a difference. π
π Wear pink, share kindness, and help spread awareness! π

Use quiet voices so the driver can concentrate.
Follow your bus driver's directions.
Wait for the bus to come to a complete stop before getting on or off.
Stay a safe distance from the bus and always watch for traffic.
