Strategic Planning

  • Prosper ISD began a six-month-long process in November of 2015 to develop a strategic plan by department and services to provide clarity to all stakeholders in the District for the next three to five years.

    Each department began with designing an overall vision of what the roadmap for success would look like in Prosper ISD in their respective areas of focus. The belief was that through strategic planning clarity and focus would be gained by all departments on the most important work to impact student learning and achievement.     The four areas of priority through strategic planning were designed to guide the District:

    Transforming excellence into reality for everyone-everyday.

    Authentic academic experiences graduate students prepared for their future.

    • Legacy

    Honoring our legacy while preparing for the future.

    • Life-long Application

    Establish a supportive culture through an inclusive learning environment in an effort to grow independent learners.

     

    PROGRESS

    Our strategic plan is a work in progress that will serve as a guide through discussions and meetings throughout the upcoming years. The plans that were developed will be fluid documents that will be adapted and revised to meet the demands of our growing district, as well as, complement the work of the District Improvement Plan.

     

    • Curriculum and Instruction

    The Prosper ISD Curriculum Department will provide learners an aligned, well-articulated and assessed curriculum that is engaging and innovative while reaching the specific and diverse needs of all students.

    • Communications

    Develop timely dissemination of information between administration, campuses, parents and the community by utilizing various forms of communication.

    • Career and Technical Education

    Develop CTE programs to meet the needs of all students.

    • Gifted and Talented

    Develop an exemplary Gifted and Talented/Advanced Academics program to meet the needs of all learners.

    • Dual Language/LOTE/ESL

    Provide all language learners with appropriate and rigorous academic instruction.

    • Technology

    The Prosper ISD Technology Department vision is to provide more resources in the hands of learners to allow anytime, anywhere access to learning.

    • PEIMS

    Develop and implement a comprehensive process to provide clean data by ensuring all student systems are used to their fullest capability.

    • Program Evaluation and Information Services

    To provide exemplary evaluation assessment/ accountability and federal program services to all district stakeholders.

    • Special Education

    Provide quality instruction in the least restrictive environment (LRE) for students with identified special needs.  

    • District Alternative Education Placement

    Develop and provide an alternative program that ensures success for all students academically, behaviorally, and emotionally.

    • Business and Finance

    Provide a long range financial plan that will support student learning and continue to be sustainable through growth and development in the District.
