Welcome to Furr Elementary! I am honored and humbled to be the Principal of this wonderful school. I have been in education for 18 years and all of these years have been served in Prosper ISD, in various leadership positions.
I am an avid learner who loves to read. I enjoy hiking, being outdoors and attending sporting events. I am married and have 3 children---Zach (26), Kelsey (24) and Andrew (22). We have lived in the district for 19 years and I have been blessed with all of my children being educated in PISD.
No matter which leadership position I have held, I firmly believe that all children deserve the best education possible and it is my job to create that safe, nurturing environment for them. It is my wish that all students keep that natural curiosity about life and learn to become lifelong dreamers and learners.
I am grateful to serve as the Principal of Furr Elementary. Furr Elementary opens its doors in August 2019 and I am looking forward to meeting and working with all of our Furr families. Let the journey begin!

Hello Furr Families and Staff! I am beyond thrilled to be serving at Jack and June Furr Elementary as your Assistant Principal. It was an honor to support this campus in my previous role and assist in opening Furr. Watching the community come together around this school has been a delight to watch. While we know this year will be full of challenges, it will also open the door to amazing opportunities! As we navigate these uncharted waters, please know we are here to help!
I graduated from the University of North Texas in 2003 with a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Education. In 2016, I graduated with my Master's degree in Educational Administration from Concordia University. My thirteen years in the classroom were spent mostly in 3rd and 4th grade, working in multiple districts throughout Texas. In Prosper, I taught at Hughes and worked in the Curriculum department.
I was born and raised in a small town in the Texas Panhandle. I moved to the DFW area to attend college where I met and married my husband, Jeff. We are the parents to three amazing children. In 2015, we moved our family to McKinney where my children started attending Prosper ISD schools and I joined the district as quickly as I could.
I am looking forward to the 2020-2021 school year and all that it brings! I can't wait to get to know all of our students and our families. Together, we are going to make it an amazing year!
