Summer School Courses
Prosper High school will offer multiple summer school courses to meet the needs of our students. The following is a list of the types of courses offered.
Credit Recovery - Student seeking to recover credit in one course that they did not pass during a previous school year.
Credit Acceleration – Student seeking to earn a credit toward their graduation requirement.
EOC Enrichment – Students that were not successful on the STAAR test who are seeking tutorial to prepare for the STAAR retake test.
ACT/SAT Prep Course - The SAT/ACT course will include the study of vocabulary, syntax and other writing skills, reading passage analysis,, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, data analysis, and problem solving as they relate to the type of questions asked on the SAT/ACT tests. Students will have many opportunities to take sample tests, discuss questions and answers with peers and instructors, and to correct answers they missed as this has proven to be one of the most effective methods for increasing test scores. Students will also be exposed to many helpful time-saving test-taking strategies taught by our own PHS Math and English Teachers.
