What is Prosper ISD currently doing to support the emotional health of our students?
This is one of the key components of the District's Strategic Plan. Prosper ISD staff members have received extensive training and Hope Squads have been established to enlist the help of fellow students in a specific and targeted way to support one another. This area is very important for the district and the Hope Squad approach has been extended to all campuses. More information on this topic can be found on the district website.
Prosper ISD partners with Children's Health to offer our students Telebehavioral Health. This program allows students, with the permission of their parents, to meet with Children's Health licensed counselors on a tablet in the counselor's office during the school day. The first several meetings are free to the student and family.
The district also utilizes the tip11 anonymous reporting system to assist in curbing bullying and reporting mental and safety concerns.

With Hope Squad will they be addressing anxiety?
Hope Squad promotes overall mental wellness. Students in Hope Squad are taught the signs of depression and anxiety and what to do if they come across a peer experiencing one or both of these. The activities promote overall mental wellness.
