High School Staff
Coach Rogers grew up in the small town of Burkburnett, Texas just north of Wichita Falls. He played soccer from the age of five until graduating from high school in 1997. During that time he played all over the state of Texas and the southern United States. Coach Rogers attended the University of North Texas where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Social Studies with an emphasis in secondary education. He has been at Prosper High School since 2006, and has served as the head soccer coach for the last twelve years. He currently lives in Denton, TX with his wife, Alyna, and their daughter Ava.
Coach Groff grew up in McKinney, Texas where he played soccer for the Dallas Texans soccer club as well as at McKinney High School. Upon graduating from MHS, he attended St. Edward’s University in Austin. While there, he helped organize the school’s club soccer team that competed against other schools in the area including Stephen F. Austin and Texas State University. This will be his tenth year in Prosper where he works at Rucker Elementary as a Physical Education instructor. Coach Groff lives in McKinney with his wife Heather.
Coach Morton will be working with boys soccer for the first time this year. He played high school and club soccer growing up and has coached soccer for seven years at the high school level. He graduated from Texas A&M University with his Bachelor and Master’s degrees. He has been married to his wife Michelle for five years, and they have a daughter named Charlotte who is one year old.
