I feel truly blessed to start my eleventh year fulfilling my purpose as an Administrator; I'm starting my second year at Prosper High School.  I am excited to be working with such a cohesive and collaborative community.  Before becoming an Assistant Principal, I served students with special needs as a teacher for five years as well as coached football, track, soccer, and cross country.  I look forward to all this school year has ahead and being fully integrated into the PISD mission for its students.  Throughout my tenure at Prosper High School and PISD, I will be dedicated to the students, the staff, and the greater community of Prosper and will value each of the relationships that I build.

My family and I built our forever home in Prosper, so I'm truly invested in our schools and community.  I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 16 years, and we have a 5th and 2nd grader attending Rucker Elementary in the Dual Language program.

My responsibilities at Prosper High School include serving students with alpha last name “A-Ba” as well as working directly with the Math and Special Education Departments.  My greatest passion and goal this year is partnering with students, parents, and community leaders alike to ensure that we continue to embody the “We are Prosper, We are One” attitude.

I am beyond excited to be starting my first year in Prosper ISD and serving as an assistant principal at Prosper High School! This will be my 15th year in education and I have no doubt it will be a great year!

I began my teaching career in Wylie ISD at Burnett Junior High where I taught US history and coached for 3 years.  I then moved over to Wylie High School where I continued to teach in the Social Studies department and became the Head Baseball coach.  In 2011, I moved on to Farmersville High School where I held the position of assistant principal.  After two years at FHS, I moved over to Pilot Point ISD, where I have served the past 4 years as a principal at both the middle and intermediate schools.  I have been truly blessed to meet and teach with some amazing people along the way but am already feeling at home in Prosper!

Another amazing blessing in my life is my family.  My incredible wife Taren will also be teaching in Prosper as a 2nd grade teacher at Boyer Elementary.  We have 3 kids.  Camdyn, 10, will be a 5th grader at Boyer.  Maddyn, 6, will be a 1st grader also at Boyer Elementary and Ty, 4, will be in the PreK program at Light Farms.  We currently still live in Pilot Point but are looking forward to our move to Prosper this fall.

Throughout my teaching career, my number one priority has been to build lasting, positive relationships with my students, parents and teachers.  This is my number one goal as I move into my role at Prosper High School.  Please know that my door is always open to help you with any issues or concerns that you may have.  I want to ensure that all our students have a positive and safe learning environment so please do not hesitate to call, email or stop by anytime you need assistance.  My office will be in the learning cottages aside the MPF.  My alpha responsibilities include all students with last names Gon - Kar.  I will also be working closely with our LOTE and PE departments.

I am truly thankful for this opportunity to be a part of the BEST high school in the state (yes we have a trophy to prove it!) and one of the BEST school districts in the nation.  I look forward to meeting you all and hope you have a great 2018-2019 school year!

I am excited to join the Prosper High School Administration team in my 16th year in education. My Masters in Educational Administration comes from The University of North Texas, and my undergraduate degree is from Hardin- Simmons University. Before joining the Eagles, I served students, teachers, and the community as an Instructional Coach and Lead teacher for Social Studies in Frisco ISD. While there I coached basketball, volleyball and track. I look forward to serving the PHS community by supervising the Social Studies Department and working with families with the last names Rem through S along with Mr. Strowe in the counseling department.

My family and I are fellow Prosper residents, and my children are future Eagles in Kindergarten and second grade! My husband is a fellow educator and we have been married for 9 years.  Our desire as educators is to make a positive impact on the dynamic community that we live and raise our children in.

2018-2019 is going to be an AWESOME year, and I look forward to being a part of PHS and the administrative team in support of all students. GO Eagles!
