Acceptance of new substitute teacher applications for the 2019-2020 school year will be available under Employment Opportunities starting July 29, 2019.** If you are a registered nurse and are interested in RN substitute opportunities, Prosper ISD accepts RN substittute applications throughout the school year. Due to the specific needs of Prosper ISD, applicants with a valid teaching certificate will be processed first for orientation.Required Documents:
Substitute pay rates for 2018-2019 are as follows:
- Valid Driver's License or Identification Card
- Social Security Card
- Official Transcript (if applicable)
- Teacher Certification (if applicable)
- $95/day - Registered Nurse
- $95/day - Certified (Texas or any other state)
- $85/day - Bachelor's Degree or higher
- $65/day - High School Diploma or equivalent
Half day assignments will be paid half of the above rates.
Prosper ISD requires a valid teaching certification for all Professional long term assignments. After the 10th consecutive day for the same employee, the daily certified rate will increase to $125/day. Paraprofessional long-term assignments are not subject to a rate increase.
Payment is made through direct deposit on the 25th of every month, unless it falls on a weekend or holiday. If so, it will be paid the Friday before the weekend. Pay is received the month following your assignment. For example, if you work substitute assignments in September, you will receive payment for those assignments the following month in October.
