Mrs. Cristina McNatt

Welcome to Cockrell! My name is Cristina McNatt and I am thrilled to be teaching 4th grade math & science. I am super excited to be partnered up with Ms. VanderHoogt for ELAR and Social Studies this year! I love working with students and making real world connections with the concepts we teach in the classroom. Nothing makes me happier than seeing it all “click” with my students!

This year marks my 23rd year in education. I have taught kindergarten, first, second, and fourth grades. I have also taught Accelerated Reading Instruction for grades K-5. I have loved each part of my journey and I am excited that your child will be part of it. I have a bachelors degree in ECE and Elementary from Ouachita Baptist University and I earned my master’s degree in Reading Education from the University of North Texas.

I am married to Jimmy and we have two boys, Grant & Camden, who attend Prosper ISD schools. Grant is a freshman and member of the marching band at Prosper High School and Camden is in 5th grade at Cockrell. We also have a Bordoodle names Dolly and a Holland Lop Bunny named Ranger.

I usually spend my evenings transporting my kids to their activities. I have considered painting my car yellow and adding a black and white checkered stripe on it! I enjoy traveling and visiting new places when I am not tied down to home. In my free time you will usually find me curled up with a good book.

Please feel free to contact me if you ever need anything. I am very excited to be part of the Prosper ISD family and I look forward to getting to know all of my Cockrell students and families!

Please feel free to check the 4th Grade website out to stay updated on what we are learning and doing in 4th grade. You will find study materials for math & science, along with weekly math homework, through your child's Google Classroom.

Let's make this a fabulous year,

Cristina McNatt
