Mrs. Dawn Oyedipe

Mrs. Oyedipe has been a pioneer in Prosper ISD, starting the orchestra programs on campus at Reynolds MS, Rogers MS, and Hays MS. She is entering her 21st year as an educator. Mrs. Oyedipe previously taught orchestra in Lewisville ISD, Plano ISD and also private school. Prior to teaching in Prosper, Mrs. Oyedipe developed the Hebron High School Orchestra program in Carrollton, TX where she served as Director of Orchestras for 13 years. Under her leadership, the Hebron Orchestras consistently achieved UIL Sweepstakes awards,"Best in Class”, and "Overall Best Orchestra" at area and nationally recognized competitions. 

Mrs. Oyedipe is a classically-trained violinist, specializing in jazz, fiddle and various folk styles. A graduate of the University Of North Texas, she was selected to a performing internship at EPCOT Center with the Disney All-American College Orchestra. She also toured as an artist/clinician with Young Audiences of Greater Dallas, Texas Commission on the Arts, and the Mid-America Arts Alliance, performing in over 300 school events, community concerts, and music festivals in Texas and surrounding states. 

When she is not teaching, Mrs. "O" enjoys spending time with her family and her dog Pepper. She is a proud UNT mom, and a soccer mom. Her hobbies include playing violin, gardening, traveling, and triathlon. She is actively involved in the community through Junior League of Collin County.
