My name is Awilda but they call me Wendy. I was born in New York but was raised in Puerto Rico and speak Spanish fluently. I am married to my husband Hector for 25 years. I have a son that will attend Prosper High School as a freshman. I also have two daughters, one is a senior attending Pennsylvania State University. The second graduated from Penn State and will start working towards her Physician Assistant degree. I have a degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Puerto Rico and went to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where I received 30 credits toward my Master Degree on Public Health. I relocated from Pennsylvania to Texas on January 2016. I worked for 5 years with the Special Education department at Garnet Valley School District, PA. During this time I acquire experience with children of all ages, from Kindergarten to High School. Since moving to Texas I joined the Prosper School District and have been working with the Special Education Program (Life Skills) since August 2016.
