My name is Awilda but they call me Wendy. I was born in New York but was raised in Puerto Rico and speak Spanish fluently. I am married to my husband Hector for 26 years. I have a son that will be in 10th grade this year at PHS. I also have two daughters, both graduated from Penn State University. The first one graduated from Penn State and will start working towards her Physician Assistant degree. The second one start her master degree in Nurse Practioner at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. I have a degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Puerto Rico and went to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where I received 30 credits toward my Master Degree on Public Health. I relocated from Pennsylvania to Texas in January 2016. I worked for 5 years with the Special Education department at Garnet Valley School District, PA. During this time I acquired experience with children of all ages, from Kindergarten to High School. Since moving to Texas I joined the Prosper School District and have been working with the Special Education Program (Life Skills) since August 2016. This year I will start at Prosper High School as an Instructional Assistant in the Special Education(Life Skill) Program.
