Mrs. April Raedisch
Hello! My name is April Raedisch (formerly Miss Cox), and I am a fourth grade teacher at Light Farms Elementary. This will be my tenth year of teaching, and my second year teaching in Prosper ISD. I graduated from Baylor University (Sic ‘Em Bears!) with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Family and Consumer Sciences and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Previously, I taught fourth and second grade on Fort Hood Army Base in Killeen, Texas before moving to Dallas to teach third grade in Richardson ISD. The past three years before moving to Prosper ISD, I was a campus reading specialist for Richardson ISD. I am so excited to be a part of the incredible Light Farms community!
This summer, I was married on June 2 to my wonderful husband Ryan. When I am not teaching, I love spending time outside playing with my two Labrador Retrievers, Ryder and Sawyer. Also, I enjoy traveling and learning about new places and cultures. Recently, I have started to play tennis more often having been out of the swing of it since my high school days. Reading is one of my passions, and you will rarely find me without a book in tow. The books do get pushed aside slightly during college football season, though. College football is one of my favorite times of the year!
I am very excited to be teaching English Language Arts and Social Studies at Light Farms Elementary. My hope is that I will provide my students with an engaging environment that inspires them to take risks and grow as learners!
I hope you all had a wonderful summer!
