Mrs. Calisha Chatter-Fitzhugh

Hello families of Prosper ISD,

My name is Mrs. Chatter-Fitzhugh, and this is my second year at PHS! I am excited to be starting my fourteenth year of teaching! I am a teacher in the special education department and will be teaching English III. My background in education includes seven years in my hometown of Birmingham, Alabama as an English teacher. After relocating to Texas in 2012, I gained experience in Dallas ISD, Fort Worth ISD, and Garland ISD by teaching English I, Sheltered English, 4th grade writing, along with co-teaching in the middle school.

As a lifelong learner in Texas Woman's University's doctoral program in Special Education, I hope to develop strategies and intervention for exceptional learners that will increase their chances of being successful in their post-secondary life. My membership with the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AAIDD) and attendance at other national conferences in the past have afforded me opportunities to share my ideas and collaborate with other practitioners from around the country. I enjoy watching Alabama Crimson Tide football, reading, and being a track mom.

In addition to Skyward, I will utilize Google Classroom to post announcements pertaining to the instructional day. You will need your child's email address and password to access Google Classroom. I will make every attempt to reply to messages via email and/or phone calls within 24 hours. I am looking forward to the greatest school year ever!

Thanks for all you do!
