Unified Chanpion Schools is an activity-based program designed for students of all ages and abilities to partner and participate together in activities that focus on interactive, inclusive, and fun opportunities to increase acceptance and awareness of each student's uniqueness while supporting fitness, disability awareness, academic achievement, and sports-related training. Students with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) work side by side, as peers and equals, to build the program and encourage others to get involved in changing campus culture for the better.
The three core components are:
- Youth Leadership and Activation
- Unified Sports
- Whole School Awareness/Involvement
Membership is open to ALL students with and without disabilities (A membership application is required)
Meetings will take place once per month during Eagle Time
Members that attend 3 or more meetings throughout the school year may be selected to volunteer at the Prosper ISD Special Olympics which will be held in May. Members may be selected to attend Special Olympics meets hosted by other schools held throughout the school year.
