Mr. Mark DeLano

     

Professionally:  I started my professional career outside of education creating and managing new restaurant concepts.  I also spent a considerable amount of time in both residential and corporate real estate, manufacturing, as well as logistics management.  In 2006, my wife convinced me that I should be a teacher so I closed my eyes and made the leap into education. Over the past 12 years and if memory serves, I've taught Nutrition, Sports Nutrition, Dollars and Sense, Money Matters, Sports Marketing, Human Growth and Development, Caree Prep, Restaurant Management, Hotel Management, Practicum in Hospitality, and Practicum in Business Management.  This year I'm only teaching two preps, Practicum in Business Management (PiBM) and Career Prep.

Academically:  My education consists of a Bachelor's Degree in Finance from Texas State University and a Maser's Degree in Education Administration from Lamar University.  

Personally:  I've been married to my best friend, Jennifer, now for over 20 years and have two great kids, Jack (17 and a senior at PHS) and Paige (13 and in the 8th grade at Reynolds MS). Those kiddos are my heart and my hobby.  When I'm not working, there is a good chance that I'm with them.
