Mrs. Jamie Sherman

Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Jamie Sherman

My name is Jamie Sherman and I am excited to be working with your child this school year. I was born and raised in Bismarck, ND and received my degree in Elementary Education through NDSU/VCSU. I moved to Texas in 2004 where I became a 1st-grade teacher in Carrollton-Farmer's Branch ISD. I was the proud recipient of the Pat James Memorial Love of Teaching Award while teaching 2nd grade in CFB-ISD and also served as Dean of Instruction during summer school.  My husband, Shawn, and I bought our 1st home in Little Elm and I joined Frisco ISD as a 2nd-grade teacher. It was during that time, my passion for teaching reading led me to the path of dyslexia therapy. I became certified in the TSRH Take Flight program where I saw amazing results from my students. I became a mom to the perfect little boy, Casey Ryan on September 10, 2012, and am excited to be sharing his Kindergarten year with him here at Windsong. My beautiful daughter, Alyssa Rayne,  was born 2 years 5 days later on September 15, 2014. My husband, Shawn, and I were blessed with finding our perfect home in Prosper ISD where we have lived the past 3 years. I am beyond happy that I am finally able to teach in a district in my hometown and make a difference for those in my own community. I can't wait to help change the direction of your child's life by helping him/her to grow confidence and self-esteem through reading.
