Mrs. Jamie Sherman

My name is Jamie Sherman and I am excited to partner with you and your child this year. I was born and raised in Bismarck, ND where I received my degree in Elementary Education through NDSU/VCSU. I moved to Texas in 2004 where I served as a 1st-grade teacher in Carrollton-Farmer's Branch ISD. I was the proud recipient of the Pat James Memorial Love of Teaching Award while teaching 2nd grade in CFB-ISD and also served as Dean of Instruction for their summer school program.  I joined Frisco ISD as a 2nd-grade teacher in 2009. It was during that time, my passion for teaching reading led me on the path of dyslexia therapy. I was trained in the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital's Take Flight program and earned my CALT certification in 2012. My family bought a house in Prosper a few years later. We have 2 amazing children (Casey & Alyssa) that both attend schools in Prosper ISD. Our family also includes a Black Lab (Kona), a Golden Retriever (Scout), a calico cat (Mika), and 2 hedgehogs (Ellie & Templeton).

It is my mission to show all children the power of reading and I encourage everyone to follow my motto: Dream it. Believe it. Achieve it!
