Hello! I am so excited to be teaching back at Rogers Middle School for the 2019-2020 school year! This will be my first year teaching 8th Grade U.S. History as I had the opportunity to teach 7th grade Texas History last year. This will be my 11th year teaching and 6th year teaching in Prosper ISD.
I grew up in Southlake, Texas, where I graduated from Southlake Carroll High School with honors before attending the University of Tulsa on a soccer scholarship. I graduated from TU with a Bachelors in Elementary Education and a Minor in Coaching. I have always felt that teaching was a calling of mine and something that I was meant to do. I believe that every student has the ability to learn and that it is my role in my students lives to encourage, empower, and inspire all and to instill a love of learning. My husband, Dave, and I have lived in Oklahoma and Missouri the past four years as he fulfilled his college football coaching passion. We have a one year old son named Paxton, who keeps us on our toes at all times, but we love every minute of being first time parents. When I am not in my classroom, I enjoy spending time with family, watching football, running, and traveling any chance that we can get as a family.
I feel so blessed to be back in Prosper and I am amazed at the growth that the city and district have endured just in the last 6 years. I am so excited to share my passion for history and to teach and celebrate the rich history of our great nation!
