Mrs. Cori Prangle
Hello Raptors! My name is Cori Prangle and I have the privilege of teaching 8th grade science this school year! This will be my third year in Prosper ISD and my fourth year teaching 8th grade science. I could not be more excited about the year ahead!
A little about myself: I grew up in Atlanta, Texas, a small town in east Texas. Once I graduated high school, I attended Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogodoches, Texas. At SFA I discovered my passion for science and teaching. I majored in biology and minored in secondary education. During my time at SFA I met my husband who is also a teacher in PISD!
In my spare time I love hanging out with my friends and family and of course playing with my two pups, Beau and Sadie! Beau is our loyal soft coated wheaten terrier and Sadie is our goofy golden retriever. I also enjoy working out, traveling, playing various sports such as sand volleyball and golf, photography, and being outdoors!
We will cover many topics this year, starting with stars and space and moving into weather, plate tectonics, chemistry, and physics. Science has always been my favorite subject and I hope to share my passion with my students!
My goal this year is for my students to enjoy learning throughout the year. I will accomplish this by providing engaging lessons and creating relationships to have a nurturing, supportive classroom culture.
I look forward to meeting you virtually or in person and I am eager to get to know you and hear your goals for this school year!
I am honored to be able to work with such a great staff and students this year at Rushing Middle School. We are in this together!!
