Mr. Clayton Koch
Clayton Koch is excited to be joining the Reynolds Band as an Assistant Band Director this year! Mr. Koch received his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Texas Tech University, where he studied with Professor Amy Anderson, Dr. Sarah McKoin, and Dr. Jacqueline Henninger. While at Texas Tech, Mr. Koch played oboe in the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and the University Symphony Orchestra, as well as saxophone in the Goin’ Band From Raiderland and guitar in the University Jazz Ensemble. His tenure in the University Symphony Orchestra included performing at the TMEA Clinic and Convention in 2015 and at the Lincoln Center in New York. While in Lubbock, Mr. Koch was also an active private lesson instructor, teaching oboe private lessons and master classes in Frenship ISD. Most recently, Mr. Koch student taught within the Austin area in Leander ISD at Stiles Middle School and Glenn High School. Mr. Koch is a native of Leander, having graduated from Leander High School. His professional affiliations include Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, Kappa Kappa Psi, and Mu Phi Epsilon.
