Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Jennifer Napier
My journey into education began very early in my childhood. As a fourth generation teacher, I feel as though I was raised in a classroom. My mother, and two generations before her, found their calling in life nurturing, educating, and building the next generation.
I earned my degree in education at the University of Mississippi and taught 6th grade ELAR and History in Hernando, Mississippi. In 2004, my husband’s job led us to the great state of Texas! I taught three years in Frisco at Wester Middle School before finally finding my home as a Prosper Eagle. This will be my 13th year serving the outstanding and talented students in Prosper.
Why middle school? I chose to serve middle school students because it’s the most exciting grade level to teach. During grades 6th-8th, student begin a journey of self-discovery. In these years, they begin to shed childhood and transform into wonderful and beautiful individuals. These are the years they try on different ‘hats’ and discover their individual gifts and talents. It’s a beautiful (and often messy) process.
