Mrs. Kayla Braaton
Howdy! My name is Kayla Braaton and I am so excited to be a part of the Light Farms family this year. This will be my first year in Prosper ISD and my first year teaching PPCD. For the past three years, I taught Special Education in Austin ISD, serving as both a resource and social communications teacher. Prior to that, I served as an inclusion aide in College Station ISD, and an Extended School Year aide in Amarillo ISD. I completed my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University and my Master's in Special Education with a Concentration in Early Childhood from the University of Texas at Austin. This spring, I also completed my designation as a Certified Autism Specialist.
I recently got married to my wonderful husband, Juston. We have two dogs, Nana and Tucker. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, reading, cooking, and painting.
I am looking forward to an amazing year in PPCD!
