Welcome to Furr Elementary!  I am honored and humbled to be the principal of this wonderful school.  I have been in education for 18 years and all of these years have been served in Prosper ISD, in various leadership positions.

I am an avid learner who loves to read.  I enjoy hiking, being outdoors and attending sporting events. I am married and have 3 children---Zach (26), Kelsey (24) and Andrew (22).  We have lived in the district for 19 years and I have been blessed with all of my children being educated in PISD.

No matter which leadership position I have held, I firmly believe that all children deserve the best education possible and it is my job to create that safe, nurturing environment for them. It is my wish that all students keep that natural curiosity about life and learn to become lifelong dreamers and learners.

I am grateful to serve as the Principal of Furr Elementary.  Furr Elementary opens its doors in August 2019 and I am looking forward to meeting and working with all of our Furr families. Let the journey begin!

I am proud to serve you, your family, our Furr staff, and the Prosper community as the assistant principal at Furr Elementary. I am thrilled to be a part of the positive direction our district is heading. I believe that all students can learn, and we are put in their lives to guide them in their journey.

My husband, Andrew, and I have been married for ten years and reside in McKinney. We have three beautiful boys, Harvey, Ford, and Oliver. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree with an emphasis in Spanish and History and a Master of Arts in Teaching degree both from Austin College.

I am beginning my thirteenth year as an educator and sixth year as an assistant principal. I began my career in Prosper ISD at Rucker Elementary. I have taught 3rd grade at Rucker Elementary, 5th grade ELAR and Science at Rogers Middle School. I was the assistant principal at Rogers Middle School and helped to open Boyer Elementary as the assistant principal.

I am very excited to be a part of opening Furr Elementary! I love that Jack and June Furr are a family of farmers and educators because that is where my roots begin. I grew up on a farm in Colorado and my family is full of educators, and I very much believe that my work ethic and need to help others comes from the farm and family As we begin the 2019-2020 school year, please know that it is my mission to honor the Furr family, to serve and welcome our students, families, and staff members, and to provide a wonderful educational experience for our students.. I truly value your partnership and feedback. Please do not hesitate to contact me for any reason. Together we can INSPIRE great things!
