Welcome to 2nd Grade! I am thrilled to be starting my first year in Prosper ISD as part of the Cockrell Elementary family! I am a 1995 graduate of Gunter High School and I attended college at Midwestern State University on a soccer scholarship. I graduated from college in 1999 with a degree in Business and went to work as a Banking Officer. I quickly realized that business was not a field I was passionate about, so I went back to school to get my teaching certification. I have been teaching for 11 years. The first 9 years I taught 7th Grade Math, and the last two years I taught 3rd Grade. I have been married to my husband for 19 years. I have five children and four grandchildren. My three youngest children all attend school in Gunter ISD and they are in 12th, 8th, and 1st Grade. I spend my spare time with my family, attending my kids sporting events, coaching my son's soccer team in Prosper, and helping my kids with their FFA Show pigs. I am very thankful to be a teacher at Cockrell Elementary and to have the opportunity to help mold and shape the life of each student that enters my classroom. I want to instill qualities in each child that builds their confidence and allows them to recognize as well as reach their full potential.
