Mrs. Peggy Bridge
Hello Furr Families! I am so excited and honored to be teaching First Grade again this year at Furr Elementary. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education at New Mexico State University and my Masters in Education, specializing in reading and literacy, from Walden University. As an educator with 21 years of experience, I have taught first grade, second grade, fourth grade, and served as a K-2 Literacy Specialist.
I am passionate about teaching children and building relationships with each and every child and their family. It would be impossible for me to say which subject is my favorite to teach because, every subject gives me the opportunity to introduce children to new learning experiences that hopefully spark joy and encourage a lifetime of inspiration.
When I am not in school, I enjoy crafting, reading, cooking, and spending time with my husband working in our garden. My husband and I have been married for 26 years and have 2 grown children. Our daughter and her family live in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Our son lives in Denton, Texas. We love to travel, but have stayed close to home this year. As soon as we can begin travelling again, we will be anxious to visit family and friends in New Mexico.
I look forward to working with each of you this year as we go on this fantastic 1st grade adventure together!
