Mr. Jeff Smith
Hi! This is my 9th year in Prosper and 23rd year teaching overall. I have taught 13 of those years in 6th grade science while the other 9 were spent teaching 7th grade science. This will be my first year in Outdoor Ed. and Eagle Leadership. I am married with 3 kids. My wife's name is Kelly and she owns her own chiropractic office in The Colony. She has been practicing there for 23 years. My oldest son Kade is a sophomore at Texas A & M (and he will be marching with the Corp this year). He won state in band as a senior at PHS and his picture is on a banner on the side of PHS by the auditorium - a great accomplishment! My other son Jack is a senior and he's in the Mighty Eagle band - he plays trombone. Be sure to go see him at halftime of the Prosper football games! Our youngest family member is Lainey - she is in 2nd grade at Folsom. She runs the family!
In addition to my teaching duties, I coach tennis here at Rogers (combined 7th and 8th grade team). When not coaching or playing tennis, I enjoy playing golf, traveling, visiting family (often in Nebraska where I grew up), going to movies and hanging out by the pool.
Lastly, I am the Recycle Club sponsor. Hug a tree!
