Ms. Launa White

This is my first year at Prosper High School. I recently moved to Texas at the beginning of June 2019 from Scottsdale, Arizona. I was born and raised there and ready for a change and it brought me here to Texas where I now live. In Arizona I had been a high school science teacher for 4 years and I taught classes such as zoology/botany and medical science along with biology. This year at PHS I am teaching on-level biology. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences from Arizona State University and a Master's in Secondary Education. I'm certified to teach Life Sciences for grades 7-12.  I'm also just finishing up another master's degree but this time from Grand Canyon University. It is a Master's in Biology with an emphasis in education. This degree has helped me to learn and go even deeper into the content that I enjoy teaching. I love teaching science and building relationships with my students, and watching them learn and grow. I'm looking forward to a great 2019-2020 school year.

I'm available to meet with students (or parents) on an as needed basis before or after school, please contact me (preferably by email) to schedule a meeting.
