Ms. Launa White
This is my second year at Prosper High School. I moved to Texas at the beginning of June 2019 from Scottsdale, Arizona. I was born and raised there and ready for a change and it brought me here to Texas. I have one son who will be in 6th grade this year at Reynolds Middle School. In Arizona I had been a high school science teacher for 4 years and I taught classes such as zoology/botany and medical science along with biology. This year at PHS I am teaching on-level biology. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences from Arizona State University and a Master's in Secondary Education. I have also more recently earned my Master's in Biology with an emphasis in education from Grand Canyon University. This degree has helped me to learn and go even deeper into the content that I enjoy teaching. I love teaching science and building relationships with my students. Watching students learn and grow is one of my favorite parts of my job. I'm looking forward to a great 2020-2021 school year. We are Prosper and we are one!
I'm available to meet with students (or parents) on an as needed basis before or after school, please contact me (preferably by email) to schedule a meeting.
