Mrs. Kassidy Wagner
Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year: I am so excited to be teaching 6th Grade Gifted & Talented Math at Rogers Middle School! This course is designed to engage gifted learners in the major concepts of number sense, problem solving, and mathematical analysis. Students will develop mathematical thinking and reasoning skills, while learning new concepts and skills in the context of solving problems. The curriculum has been developed to encourage students to develop alternative and creative solutions to problems and produce advanced level products and performances.
A little bit about me: I am currently serving my seventh year as a mathematics teacher at Rogers Middle School. I graduated from the University of North Texas (Go Eagles!) with my B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2012 and earned my M.Ed. in Mathematics Curriculum and Instruction from The University of Texas Arlington in 2016. I truly LOVE mathematics and hope to share my passion for the subject with my students. I feel so fortunate to be in such an amazing district where our teachers, students, and community are so supportive and innovative. I look forward to my continued career in PISD and with all of the people that make it so great!
