Ms. Julie Moreno

My name is Julie Moreno, and I am thrilled to be part of the Rucker family!  This year I will be teaching 5th Grade ELAR, and excited to journey into my 14th year in education.  I grew up in Plano, TX, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M University (Gig'em Ags!).

My teaching career started in Navasota, TX as a Special Education teacher.  After two years, I missed being close to my family and moved back home to Plano.  Plano ISD was home for me for ten years.  During my time in Plano ISD, I taught in a variety of educational areas and grade levels.  Last year, I spent a year teaching in a private school.  I am very excited to be back in public school and thrilled to be in Prosper ISD.  Being a teacher is very rewarding, and I love growing and learning with my students every day.

Currently, I live in Plano with my fur-baby, Molly Jo (aka The Beast).  In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, reading, traveling, and cheering on my favorite football teams; Dallas Cowboys and Texas A&M Aggies.
