Mrs. Sapphire Tenerelli
Mrs. Tenerelli is in her eighth year teaching; the first 6 years were in Frisco and she is now starting her second year in Prosper.
Mrs. Tenerelli is a native of Plano, Texas and graduated from Texas Tech University magna cum laude with her Bachelor’s Degree in Trumpet Performance where her professor not only provided trumpet lessons, but also helped her earn her Private Pilot’s license. She earned the award for Highest Ranked Graduate in the College of Visual and Performing Arts and after receiving her undergraduate degree, Mrs. Tenerelli returned to Texas Tech to complete her Master’s degree in Music Education.
During her time at Texas Tech, Mrs. Tenerelli shared the stage with Phillip Smith, Jens Lindemann, Dick Oatts, Arlington Jones, and Stockton Helbing. Her principal teachers include Professor Will Strieder, Dr. Max Matzen, Dr. Sarah McKoin, and Professor Stephen Jones. While at Texas Tech, Mrs. Tenerelli served as the President of the Tech Trumpet Society and trumpet section leader. She was a participating member of the premier jazz and concert ensembles. Mrs. Tenerelli also performed at the prestigious Texas Music Educators Association conference in both 2009 and 2013 as well as the College Band Directors National Association 2011 Southwest conference, where she was a participant in the performance of multiple world premieres.
Mrs. Tenerelli is co-principal trumpet of the Plano Community Band where she has performed with the Stockton Helbing Trio and Wayne Bergeron at the 2017 TBA conference. She is a member of the Texas Music Educators Association and Texas Bandmasters Association.
Mrs. Tenerelli and her fellow trumpet-playing husband love to travel, hike, and visit family in southwest Michigan. Outside of teaching, she enjoys performing with ensembles, running, studying foreign languages, and flying single engine Cessnas.

The Rogers Band Hall is open every morning at 7:15am for individual student practice and tutoring as needed.
The Rogers Band Hall will close at 4:30pm every afternoon.
