Mrs. Lauren Grenier

This is my 9th year in Education and I'm thrilled to be in Prosper ISD.  Previously, I taught six years in Special Education in Plano and 3 years in the private school setting.  It is my sole belief that every child can learn!  Teaching at its core is relationtional.  Every student that feels safe will build relationships, and therefore, grow and learn.  Education is more than teaching academics; it is about educating the whole child- academically, emotionally and socially.  I believe that we all succeed when everyone works together.

I grew up the daughter of a public school Superintendent, and I saw first hand the difference a dedicated educator makes in the lives of children.  I knew from a young age that I wanted to be a teacher.  My parents always said, "Find something that you wake up everyday excited to do, and you'll never work a day in your life."  I took that nugget of wisdom to heart and after graduating high school in New Jersey, I moved to Oklahoma to study Education at Oral Roberts University in 2002.  I studied Music Education, Special Education and Elementary Education during my time there.

My husband and I met at university, and we've been married for 12 years.  We have two amazing children, 6 and 2, so our household is a beautiful mess.  We live in McKinney, but both my husband and I work in Prosper, worship in Prosper and serve the community of Prosper.  We love the small town feel and the community heart at the center of Prosper.  In my leisure time, I enjoy being outside and reading.  My family and I head up to Lake Ray Roberts frequently to hike, bike and camp.

It is my priviledge to work with your kids.  This year is going to be awesome!
