Frequently Asked Questions
-
Who do we contact for questions?
You can reach out to the Principal, Dustin Toth, at datoth@prosper-isd.net or email communications@prosper-isd.net.

Will transportation be provided
Busing for each campus is provided within certain limitations found here.
Busing will NOT be provided to any student who does not live in the zone of their high school. In other words, although a student may be allowed to attend the HS outside their zone, busing will not be provided for those students (which is the practice that has been in place for many years)
-
Will the same classes and level of classes be offered at the new HS for incoming Seniors?
Academic offerings will be the same except for Auto Mechanics which is only at PHS.
That is not to say that we will offer every class if we only have one or a handful of students interested in a class just as what happens now at PHS, but that students at Rock Hill will not be limited on course selection. -
if you "Grandfather" Juniors and Seniors, will siblings be allowed to attend outside of their zone?
The choice is only for current Juniors and Seniors. Siblings in 9th and 10th grades will go to the campus at which they are zoned.
-
How will class ranking be impacted by the split?
Board policy will hold on Class Rank calculation for both high schools.
-
Will dual credit classes be offered at RHHS?
Yes! Our intention is to have the same dual credit course offerings as PHS. The structure of this will be dictated by the number of students who enroll in each course, but the intent is for them to be offered on both campuses.
-
What technology advancements will the students see that they don’t have at PHS?
Much of the technology will be the same or similar to what the students are currently using at PHS. The biggest difference will be in the space provided to hold various CTE classes. For example, the engineering classroom is a more conducive space to hold that type of class and will allow students a few more opportunities based on that. Also, the culinary department will have the capability to have a student run full service restaurant which will be unique to Rock Hill
-
Are there enhanced school safety items?
PISD just revamped the security at all campuses so RHHS will have the same security set up. We will house two PISD police officers on site as well as the security measures set up currently at PHS.
-
Will there be classes in portables?
No! Not upon opening.
-
Will there be additional food choices that are not at PHS?
According to SFE, our food service provider, it will almost be a mirror image of PHS. While there may be some minor changes, the number of food choices should be a mirror image.
-
I heard the law enforcement classroom wil have a mock up courtroom and crime lab, can you confirm?
Yes RHHS will have both.
-
Will there be a JV and Varsity Cheer Program at Rockhill?
Yes! Both will be offered at RHHS.
-
Will there be a Drill Team at RHHS?
