Mrs. Alissa Andrews

Welcome to Johnson Elementary! I am truly honored to serve as the new principal of Johnson Elementary. It is my belief that all students can learn and it is our job to ensure that they do. While academics are of utmost importance, it is just as important to focus on the whole child and help them succeed emotionally and socially as well.

My husband, Todd, and I are originally from Oklahoma and, while we love living in Texas, we are Sooners at heart. BOOMER!!! We have been married for 24 years and have two children, Janessa and Wyatt. Janessa is a 2019 graduate of Prosper High School and now attends the University of Oklahoma. Wyatt has been a Prosper Eagle since he was four years old and now attends Prosper High School.

My teaching career began in 2003. Since then, I have taught 3rd grade (all content), 4th grade math and science, and 8th grade language arts. I was fortunate to be chosen to join the Prosper ISD family in 2009 and after teaching here for just a few months, my husband and I knew that we wanted to be part of this amazing community. We immediately started looking for a home to purchase within the school district and in July 2010 we made that dream a reality.

Since joining Prosper ISD, I have served as a classroom teacher, curriculum designer, assistant principal, and, now, principal. I am grateful to have had the experience of opening Windsong Ranch Elementary in 2016, Boyer Elementary in 2018 and now Johnson Elementary.

Please know that it is my mission to honor the Johnson family, to serve and welcome our students, families, and staff members, and to provide a wonderful educational experience for our students. This is a journey that takes all of us in order to achieve complete success and I hope you are just as excited as I am to support and cheer our students on as they embark on another year of learning.
