Ms. Shauntée Carpenter

Hello Cockrell Parents and Students:

I am truly honored to have the opportunity to be a part of the Cockrell community, and cannot wait to begin working with such a remarkable group of students, parents, and colleagues.  This will be my first school year in Prosper ISD, and my fourteenth year in education.  Over the course of my career I have had the pleasure of teaching in a variety of general and special education settings, Kindergarten through 10th grades, in Plano, Frisco, and Highland Park ISD.  I recently graduated from Texas Tech University with my Masters in Special Education, and soon after joined the Highland Park evaluation team in January of 2019.

One of the most important jobs I hold is being the mother of three beautiful children…Elijah, Briyana, and Kellie.  Thus, I have been on every adventure from exploring countless versions of the Star Wars saga to picking out which pair of shoes goes best with the dress.  However, in my leisure time I enjoy reading, traveling, and pride myself in being a life-long learner.

As we embark on this journey together, I hope my dedication and passion for your child will be evident.  I am grateful to be a part of the most rewarding profession in the world, and it is my belief that all children are capable of success when given a nurturing and safe learning environment.  Thank you for sharing the children you love with us, and for entrusting the Cockrell staff to empower them to pursue learning.

We are one,

Shauntée Carpenter
