Howdy! My name is McKenzie Shoemaker, and I am so excited to be a 5th grade teacher at Light Farms Elementary!  This is my first year here at Light Farms Elementary and my ninth year teaching. Prior to coming to Prosper, I taught for Lewisville ISD for 8 wonderful years.  I have a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M University. Whoop!

My husband, Justin, and I have two amazing children, Harlow and Crew. Harlow turned 2 in July and Crew will be 1 in November. They are both in a wonderful stage of life that keeps us all active and trying new fun activities daily. I am eager for the day that they get to join me here at Light Farms! In my free time, I love to go on walks with my family, run, try new restaurants, and get crafty with my Cricut machine. 

I am so excited to be partnering with you all this year to make this year the most amazing and memorable one yet. I feel so very honored to be a part of the Light Farms family and know that I am here to serve alongside you in whatever you need. Together, we are going to do AMAZING things this year. Go Eagles!
