Ms. Catie Martin

Welome to Kindergarten!

My name is Catherine (Catie) Martin and I am so excited to begin my first year in Prosper ISD here at Stuber! I graduated from the University of North Texas with a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies - Early Childhood through 6th grade. This will be my 5th year of teaching! Previously, I was an interventionist for K-6th grade before teaching 4th grade and then Kindergarten in Allen and Garland.

Early childhood education is my passion! Kindergartners, especially, come in with a natural curiosity and desire to explore and learn! I love to be a part of their educational foundation and to help them grow in leaps and bounds throughout the year.

I recently moved from Richardson to the Little Elm/Aubrey area. I am the eldest of three sisters and here's a fun fact - my mom is the music teacher here at Stuber! We are so fortunate to have the opportunity to work together for the first time! I have a dog, Molly, who is the sweetest and has the most pathetic puppy eyes. She is the only one who will listen to me read children's books outside of school. Another thing you should know - I LOVE children's books! I'm also an avid Disney fan and Chick-fil-A lover! Apart from that, I enjoy watching movies, spending time with friends and family, and traveling. For the last couple of years, I have spent the summers in South Africa with a former college professor of mine. She and I bring supplies to a local school, help train teachers, and work with kids. This summer our plans had to be cancelled, but I can't wait until we can go back!

It's a honor to be your child's first teacher in "Big School". I look forward to meeting you and building relationships with you and your kiddo this year!
