Mrs. Jennifer Valliere

Hello!  My name is Jennifer Valliere and I will be your child's English teacher this year.   I am so happy to join Prosper ISD and become a part of the Hays family.  I look forward to a wonderful year of growth, learning, and community building.  My passion is reading and writing and I can't wait to share that with your child.

I graduated from Plano ISD and went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts in History from Stephen F. Austin (Axe 'Em Jacks).  After college, I returned home to begin my teaching career.  I worked in Plano ISD for thirteen years where I had the privilege of serving students in grades fourth, sixth, seventh, and eight teaching language arts and the AVID program.  Most recently I taught sixth grade language arts in Allen ISD.

My goal is for each student to learn more about themselves as writers while learning more about the world as readers.  Students will have the opportunity to challenge themselves and analyze text with a critical eye.  They will also hone their writing skills in a variety of ways.  My hope is each day they will grow in their confidence and independence in both of these areas while developing a lifetime enjoyment of reading.

My husband and I live in McKinney with our two adorable papillons, Rufus and Lucky.  We love to travel when we can, especially road trips.  On the weekends I enjoy reading and watching live Texas music.

I can't wait to get this year started and begin learning alongside your child.  I look forward to our time together, please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

 Go Hawks!
