Mrs. Michelle Carrillo

Hello! My name is Mrs. Carrillo. I only just moved to Texas in December of 2019. I'm originally from Northern California. I met my husband in our college marching band at California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly for short). We moved and worked in Santa Barbara after college. I have two little girls--Gibson is four and loves space and Sandy is three and makes a phenomenal dinosaur noise. I also have a new yellow lab named Judy (We loved the Beatles, but she was a girl, so Jude was out).

My personal passions include developing awesome science lessons (obviously), trying desperately to get my succulents to grow, and exercising when I can find the time. I also play the saxophone, golf, love board games, and am really bad at watercolor painting (I try really hard though).

I have taught science at four different schools in three different states from grades 6-9. My personal favorite part of science to teach is physics, I'm most interested in chemistry, I was a biology major (so I should most definitely love that too), and astonomy is fascinating and always makes me feel very small.  I also have a passion for youth outside of school hours.  I am a team leader for my church's student ministry every weel.

I live in Prosper ISD and my children will eventually be in school in our district. I'm extremely passionate about my work and I cannot wait to get to know you.
