Miss Brittany Shaver

Hi my name is Brittany Shaver and this is my 16th year of teaching dance and directing drill team.  I attended Rockwall High School and was a part of the varsity drill team for 3 years and served as an officer for 2. I attended TCU and was a part of the Showgirls dance team for two years. I then transferred to SFA and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Advertising.  During my time at TCU I was a dancer in the movie “She Gets What She Wants” with Piper Perabo.  I have performed in Miss Texas Pageants as well as many NFL and NBA half time performances.  I was also a member of the SFA choir where I performed around Texas.  In 2005 I began teaching at Sachse High School. I served as the junior varsity director for 2 years and the varsity director for 7 years at SHS. Under my direction, the Swingsters won three National Champion titles and many regional best in class teams. In 2011, the Swingsters were selected to perform in the halftime show at the Super Bowl in Dallas.  It was truly an incredible experience that my girls and I will always remember.  In 2014 I had the honor of opening a new HS in Frisco- Independence HS.  I was able to create and grow the dance and drill team program there for 4 years.  From 2018-2020 I taught dance and directed drill team at my Alma Mater- Rockwall HS.  In November 2019 I came across Rock Hill HS.  I knew I could not pass up the opportunity to open another HS and start another dance program so here we are!  The start of this year has been one for the books and one we will remember forever:-)   I am thrilled to be a part of such an amazing district and a beautiful high school.  I feel very blessed to have been chosen to be the dance teacher and Rockettes director.  Outside of RHHS I am a staff member for ADTS where I work camps, choreograph and judge drill team/dance contests in the spring.  I enjoy spending time with my family and friends on the weekends.  My favorite thing to do is spending time at our family lake house.

I am looking forward to building the hill with our amazing Rock Hill students!
