B.A. in History (UNT) Certification in Jewish and Israel Studies (UNT)
Mr. Jack Loeb
Hi everyone! I'm excited to be here at PISD and more specifically at Rushing Middle School. This is my first year in the district and I'm really excited to get to know you all this upcoming school year. I graduated from UNT with a B.A. in History. I teach Texas History and coach: Football, 7th Basketball, and Track. A few things about me...I love to travel. I've been to: Rome, London, Bahrain, Phuket, Hong Kong, Nagasaki, Iraq, Afghanistan, and all over the U.S. including Guam and Hawaii. I enjoy learning about new cultures and experiencing various cultures as well. I also love history. My philosophy is you can't know where you're going unless you know where you've been. When I'm not spending time teaching I enjoy spending time with my family which includes my two special girls with which I've been blessed. I also enjoy eating food and trying new cuisines.
I plan to use a technology tool called Remind to help with communication between home and school. Should you choose to opt-in to this system, you will receive text messages from the teacher regarding tests, assignments, etc. All texts from the teachers will be professional; they will not be sent for any social reason. Remind is not used with students at the middle school or elementary level. Please do not sign students up for Remind alerts. This will not be the only way your students' teacher communicates with parents. If you choose not to participate, it will not hurt your student's grades.
Parents (Parents Only), please join my remind class for Texas History. I will be sharing information about grades, assignments, upcoming assignments and other classroom matters as it pertains to your child via Remind. My Remind is: https://www.remind.com/join/h388f8d ; You can also join by Texting#: 81010 and sending the following message "@h388f8d". You can opt-out of Remind at anytime.
