Mrs. Mashanda Thomas, Ed.S.
My name is Mashanda Thomas and I was born and raised in the Magnolia State (Mississippi), for which 13 of those years have been spent in Brandon, Mississippi. This year marks my 14th year as an educator, all of my experience has been at the middle school level since Middle Schoolers Rock! I have taught grades 6th-8th and in the subject areas of: ELAR, Social Studies, and Special Education. This upcoming year, I will have the esteem privilege of working as the Special Education Inclusion Teacher for ELAR.
My educational journey has allowed me to utilize my knowledge and expertise as a way of tapping into the curiosity, creative, and ambitions that young scholars possess. I received my Bachelor's Degree from Mississippi College, Master's Degree from Jackson State University, and Specialist's Degree from William Carey University. As an educator, my philosophical belief is that all children can learn and be successful in their own unique ways.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my awesome husband (Ricardo) of 13 years and our lovely 10- year- old daughter (Bailee Rae), traveling to unfamiliar places, trying new restaurants, and watching the HGTV/Food Network channels. My family and I are elated to be in the great state of Texas and look forward to all there is to come!
