Mrs. Ashley Wright

Thank you for stopping by my Art page!  I am back at Rogers for my 11th year of teaching Art in Prosper ISD.  I've actually spent over 20 years in Prosper because my family moved here in 1996 when I was entering middle school.  That was back when grades 6-12 were on one campus together, which is now the Administration building, and I could ride my 4-wheeler all over town on the "back roads" to get to friend's houses.  I studied Art at Texas Tech (WRECK 'EM) graduated in 2007, and returned to the area where I was hired to help open the Lorene Rogers campus in 2008.  Through my years at Rogers, I have taught 5-8th graders as both Miss Heggy and Mrs. Wright.  I married my wonderful husband in November 2014 and we had our first child, Lainey Gray, in November 2015.  Art is my passion and I love making stuff.  I am always working on something creative and trying out new media.  I like to keep my projects open ended, which allows for a variety of skill and creativity to be successful.  Seeing the amazing things my students produce and the joy at their accomplishments makes my job truly amazing. 2018-2019 will be a great year!

  • We have a small list of 4 supplies I'd like 7th & 8th grade students to bring in this year.  The most important is the posterboard to create a portfolio, if you need to prioritize.  I have created an Amazon list if you'd like to shop for some of the items online (except the poster board), but they are all in larger quantities.  We would appreciate having extras for those kiddos that are unable to purchase the additional supplies.  Thank you for your generosity and understanding.
