Betty Jackson Gotcher Stewart was born October 29, 1934, in Prosper, Texas, to Virgil and Syble Jackson. She and her two brothers are seventh-generation members of the Prosper community. Her daughter, Gina Kubala, is a graduate of Prosper ISD. 

Ms. Jackson completed her entire education in Prosper ISD, graduating in 1953. She lettered every year in basketball and was co-captain. She was Majorette and Head Majorette in the pep squad, freshman class president, yearbook business manager, and state journalism competitor. In January 2023, she was inducted into the Prosper ISD Athletic Hall of Honor.

She began her professional journey at Dunn & Bradstreet before dedicating 37 ½ years to TXU. She is an active member of the Prosper Historical Society, the 5-0 Group, Prosper United Methodist Church, and Prosper United Methodist Women. 

Ms. Jackson’s deep-rooted commitment is evidenced by her active involvement, faithful support, and numerous contributions to the Prosper ISD community.
